Traditionally, yes. But I do like Leinenkugel's Canoe Paddler which is a Kölsch style ale. I guess I didn't need to say it was from Cologne, but I was practicing my German!All Kölsch is from Cologne, Germany!!
A Kölsch was my very first beer I ever tried to brew at home from a kit and it turned out pretty poor. I'm thinking about doing another one properly, all-grain. I do love the style.I just kegged my Kölsch today. Shhh! I brewed it in Ohio!!
What kind of aroma did you get from the magnum? I would presume it is a clean flavor.Drinking My Amber Bock as an extract, easy to make and very good....a little foamy from the keg for some reason

Once I finish moving I'll have to get a few double brew days done .... Just drank the very last bottle I have !
May even cheat and get an extract brew or 2 done just to fill my empty bottles back up .
The sight of 188 empty bottles is kind of depressing
