Snowpocalyse!

Well depends where you live. Half my grandchildren live in CO the other half in Upstate NY and they very rarely get snow days because it snows all the time. When I grew up I rural NY I remember the bus driving just putting on the chains. Here where I am now in CT seems they cancel before it even snows. I figured maybe the schools are worried about getting sued by the insurance companies if someone slides off the road on their way.

Everything is more virulent these days.....
Good angle there..greater costs and then there's the legal angle....wasn't taking that onto account...we Americans...we love to sue somebody!

Minus 17f last week plus 40f this week. If you don't like the weather, stick around for a hour or two.

My little buddy is not going to like it this week.

Nice one! We barely got any snow this year, and now we’re scrambling for proper winter clothes. I’m definitely a spammer and you guys are on it so I guess I’ll go away now.

We had a week of above freezing weather. He didn't make it.

Damn! I went outside and just got cold when the front was blowing through. Lord forbid, I actually have to put on sleeves or a jacket. Yesterday, no bullshit, no exaggerating, it was in the mid to upper 80s when I left work and was on my way to Publix. I think we get a cooler/cold day tomorrow in the 60's, and then 60s & 70s for a bit, which is just a little cooler than normal. I think 52 might be a little chilly for me tonight, but not horrible.

Guess the torrential rains and thunderstorms with flooding last night and an inch of snow today qualifies. We are out of school tomorrow along with most of the state for flooding and there will be black ice in the morning. Guess I’ll cancel any plans in late May.

Damn. Well, at least you can spend another couple of days with the young'un.

Yep thankfully we are on a hill. Tomorrow will be worse for a lot of people I’m afraid. The Ohio will raise 12 more feet according to the weather channel and crest at 52 feet. Tons of streams in Kentucky so all over the state those are flooded.

I'm sorry to hear that. I have to see the same thing every hurricane season about the people that live on the Wekiva River basin. I'm also up pretty high by our standards, and we have very good drainage that we pay for in our property taxes. We had over 30 inches of rain over the weekend during Hurricane Frances years ago. I didn't flood. Trees were falling down from being saturated, but I didn't flood. Two miles down the road? Different story.

Wow, and I was complaining about cold! Flooding etc , no good, stay safe!

I had the same thought. I'll take the snow and near 0°F temps over flooding any day. I pray it's not too bad for people in your neck of the woods @Josh Hughes.

Where my wife is from, 2 hours south of where we live, it’s apocalyptic. Look up Jackson KY.

-32C here today, but by Thursday it's going to be +4 so... welcome to Alberta.

Stay safe Josh.
