Zambi...the beans are not acidic enough for simple water bath canning so freeze them if you are able...tomatoes are acidic enough for a year's time in the can waterbathed,, longer if you got the means to pressure can them.

Speaking of tomatoes....this year's heirlooms are off and climbing while the peppers are still in germination

Pretty cool Ben. This sounds so simple but yet I’ve not heard of it. Nice growth on the plants too

Great Ben
I got papaya leaves "fermenting". I read somewhere it would make a decent insecticide. Haven't tried it yet
I like your idea of putting them in a bag. Gotta be easier to decant (maybe my very old biab bag).

Still looking at frames to grow my beans, butternut, cucumber and pumpkin.
I was thinking of a shadehouse, but now I'm thinking of maybe just the frame, and letting those climbers sort out the shade

Well its to cold and the ground is frozen. I do have a greenhouse but I don't heat it. Yesterday looked at my vines and jus made a pruning plan. The orchard needs pruning as well and picked up a chipper yesterday so I can chip right in the orchard. It may be to noisy but I'll try ot

yeah that is my really old Biab bag :p .

yup once the Pumpkin/beans/ cucumbers whatever climbing thing climbs the frame it'll shade the bottom.

I wish I built a bigger arch but I'll making more for sure.

this is my first time growing black beans I find them great in savoury dishes

I'll have to try the paw paw leaves hey another plant is Comfrey its leaves have lots of nutrients gotta get some.
they have a good taproot that gets all the goodies from deep down in the ground and brings it back up to surface...

I tried chickpeas as well but none sprouted thing I Fed something up along the way. all nitrogen fixers.;)

Try some yardlong beans. They should do well in your climate.

Our garden has an abundance of garlic and onions, potatoes and peas (snow, sugar snap and shelling). Both apple trees (Honey crisp and Spitzenburg) flowered together and should produce fruit. We have strawberries (8 different plants), and hope they don’t attract slugs, in addition to 6 different blueberry bushes. Today I planted some lettuce starts, beside the bed with carrots. As the weather warms, we will plant squash, green beans, peppers and tomatoes. Loving having the space to garden!

I got too many peppers (bell peppers).
Prepared some more beds for planting.
Pumpkins and cucumber will be seeded soon

here ya go @Roadi out out a video on a cool chicken water feeder.

my stainless steel 2lt ish water feeder had been running out too quick with 8 chooks on the drink.

Here's a feeder short I did as well while I'm at it

just a bit of downpipe with a 45 and a 90 I think it was on the bottom DIY and at same price or cheaper than the store bought less capacity items win win me thinks.

I've been getting stuck into the garden harvesting g pumpkins capsicums vok choi and my mandies are groaning with fruit.

finally dropped that Native bee hive off to Matildas Daycare the littlies got a look inside and watch me put it up on the fence.

Here's the split video for anyone interested

I think this is where my brewing passion went towards cultivating the back yard and the bees.

hope you all been keeping well love to drop back here and read up on the brewing knowledge and look at the beers and remember them days...

cheers
