Not from my garden, but wildflowers from the nearby wild lands where my wife and I hiked this past Saturday.
Top picture is a Mariposa lily, bottom chaparral mallow. We went out in search of the lilies in particular, and saw lots of other wildflowers, but I only snapped pics of these.

Isn't it amazing that one can live in a densely populated area, yet be within easy walking distance to miles of uninhabited wild lands?

One of the reasons we chose to live where we do, as we’re both avid hikers. We walk right out our front door, and within 5 minutes are on the trail that leads to those wild lands.

If you don't recall we moved last fall, so what is coming up in the gardens this spring has been fun to watch.
Mostly daffodils and tulips which are both done now, and these have come up.
I have no idea what they might be...

Allium hollandicum

If you pick a flower head, it probably will have a familiar aroma.

Allium hollandicum

When Wifey and I were shacking up in Baltimore City we had an old garden that we reclaimed and in breaking up one of the old beds, we managed to bring some Giant Alliums back out of dormancy. They showed up almost overnight looking like onion stalks then a couple days later these enormous lavender colored puff balls on the top of the stalks...definitely alien plant life.
