Fun with numbers, and yes, I too was alive in 1970.1970 and 2022 are as far apart as 1970 and 1918.

I've heard lots of folks say that gettin' old beats the alternative. I mostly hear that from young people that don't yet have all the ailments of old age. It might be better than dying, but I'm sure the pain is done afterward. Arthritis can make you miserable in Alabama when combined with the humid sudden weather changes and cool winter. The problem is winter never gets cold enough to stabilize the weather by lowering the humidity. The barometer here jumps around like a jack-rabbit in a pepper patch. The only alternative is an early death, so maybe not.
Three out of the fourEven scarier to think I was alive in three out of four of the years mentioned.
No apology necessary. I thought it funny too, but if you knew my life, you'd understand why I might count 1970 twice.Three out of the four
Lets see 1970, 2022, and 1970?
Sorry, couldn't help myself...
Agreed, the alternative is worse. The only alternative is an early death, so maybe not.
I’m starting to realize “we used to do that all the time as kids” means we did it a few times.
Unless it's masturbationI’m starting to realize “we used to do that all the time as kids” means we did it a few times.
But only until I was a little near-sighted.Unless it's masturbation
Use your imaginationMy family couldn't afford sticks.
We were so poor, I couldn't even pay attention. My family couldn't afford sticks.
That's a young Marty Feldman on the right, but who's the chap on the far left?"There were 150 of us living in a cardboard box in the middle of the road"
"Cardboard Box"
"Aye"
"You were lucky!"
