Q2 2021 Brewersfriend Community Recipie.

Bottled today, BE-256 hit 82% attenuation, missed og(brain fart during sparge, my bad), still came in at 6.69% abv, sample tasted very good, we'll see how it is when it's carbed up.
10% more attenuation than I got with S-33.
I'll use BE-256 next time.

Here's my first taste of Alan's Pee :D reminds me of a big Christmas beer. I'll let this one keep aging, but it's tasty so far! Love the color. It's very red in the light, I took 2 photos to show the difference (same glass of beer)

I'm way behind on this. Grains weighed out at least, but heading out of town for a week.

Kegged the Man Pee, smells heavenly of toffee and caramel, a touch of coffee, and the uncarbed FG sample tasted thick and rich, with a touch of booziness and a bit sweeter than expected. Nice color too. Unfortunately the FG ended up at 1.021 from 1.069, meaning 6.6% abv and 70% attenuation.

Fast-carbing a liter, once it cools I'll pour a glass.

...and here's a photo. The light shows it a bit redder than it actually is, slightly more brown.
Carbonation has taken the cloying sweetness down a notch, making for a much better balance. This beer will age well, I need to bottle some of it. I want to avoid drinking it all in a month...

Thank you again Alan for a recipe I'd never have tried myself. She's a stoater!

Thank you for giving it a go. I am very pleased you like it. Speaking of Stoaters - take a look at my Stoater Stout. I'm just about to bottle it here.

Uncarbed left over. Not used to Belgian yeast. The nose hits ya! I taste the pepper the manufacturer said the yeast would produce. Finished quite dry but nice and malty as well. This is quite pleasant. I will enjoy a few evenings with this stuff in a few weeks. Great job Alan

Its more redish than the photo starts out with some bannana on the nose for me with a malty clean sticky caramel type flavour lingering after swallowing a second or two. Yup very smooth and subtle for a beer this ABV.
