You boil them in beer then finish them on the grill. Delicious. I think some places sell beer brats that are supposed to already have the flavor in them but it's not the same

The key is to boil AFTER grilling, preferably in a beer with some character…Once I was misguided and boiled before. Thank goodness someone corrected that error for me….

@Hawkbox dont use a particularly bitter beer, instead something a bit maltier. I've been using hefeweitzen to good effect.
