I made a pizza tonight, using sourdough crust fermenting since Thursday morning. It turned out OK, but not special. Topped with red sauce (Trader Joe’s), four cheese blend, prosciutto, onions, mushrooms and garlic. The crust was thin, crisp, and held up nicely, with good sourdough flavor. My wife likes my yeast risen crust better.
One of our two cats seemed to enjoy the dough. While the dough was resting on the kitchen counter, my wife and I were in the backyard, tending the plants. We came inside to find a few small chunks chewed from the dough, courtesy of Peet the cat. He once gobbled down about a quarter cup of dry orzo pasta before I could get it into some soup. He later barfed out that orzo pasta - dumb cat.
