Add 500g toasted coconut flakes to the fermenter after primary fermentation for 2 to 7 days (to taste) - 4 days in this brew 1case, 7 days in brew 2 &3.
Honey was Rich and Dark from Asda, 340g size
Used Gambrinus Honey Malt in brew 1 & 2 - preferred but couldn't get it for Brew 3 so used Aromatic instead. Aiming for honey notes and coconut = Gorse flowers
Styrian Cardinal were used in first brew then Boadicea in 2nd & 3rd brews. Really like Boadicea in this
At bottling looks to be very pale, very coconut and very rich - Should be a bit special.
Tasting - Wow, coconut with rich malt finish, warming and full bodied. Bitter enough not to be cloying.
