Notes

12-11-2016:
First brew on new temp controlled electric setup and new grain mill. Going for a lighter colored and bodied Tropicalia with a good head and mouthfeel. Using dry yeast for the first time. Using K-97 German Ale for this batch, and will make an identical second batch trying out US-05.

12-26-2016: Brew Day
From biabcalculator.com:
Total Water Needed 8.04 Gallons
Strike Water Temp 165 Fahrenheit
Total Mash Volume 9.00 Gallons
PreBoil Wort 7.50 Gallons
PostBoil Wort 5.75 Gallons
Into Fermenter 5.50 Gallons

Strike at 74C for 70C mash, 60 minutes, fly sparge. Didn't squeeze the bag and got terrible 43% efficiency. Will grind finer for next batch. OG = 1.034

12-27-2016
Rehydrated yeast and pitched into 68F wort, started bubbling by the next morning.

1-11-2017
Kegged and set to 20psi.
FG = 1.018
ABV = 2.1%, lol
