Notes
Boil specialty grains in 2.5 gallons water for 20 minutes in a steeping bag. Sparge and discard.
Add liquid and dry malt extract to wort. Stir until it returns to a boil.
Add magnum hops and boil for 40 minutes.
Add cascade hops and boil for another 20 minutes.
Chill wort and put in primary fermenter. Add water to make 5 gallons.
Pitch yeast.
After 6 days rack to secondary. Sanitize whiskey soaked oak chips and add to secondary. Leave in contact with wort for 3 weeks.
