Double mashing at the two temperatures was very efficient - creating a higher final gravity than estimated. The golden syrup was therefore deleted.
Even after increasing the volume to 24 ltrs the FG was 1.061.
That - and the use of Nottingham yeast - will give a much higher FG than the profile.
