Notes

Used all ingredients from NB Elegant Bastard, except hops. I pre-boiled in water 4 oz. whole Cascade hops picked from Jubilee Farms 8/22, 60 minutes the night prior. Guessed AA 4.0%. Followed recipe through grain steeping (2.5 gal @ 150 degF), then added DME, LME and Corn Sugar. Added the gallon of hop tea and topped off to 5.5 gallons. Brought this to boil then added Perle hops for 20 minutes and the Hallertau for last 5 minutes. Ended with 5.25 gallons of wort! Pitched yeast 75 degF.
