Notes
The original recipe by Andrew and Meatball makes a Mexican Lager having the color of a Dos Equis. I changed it to make an Amber version, like Dos Equis Ambar. Thus, I’ve added the Munich Dark and Crystal 60, both of which will give a somewhat richer flavor. Also, I’ve tried to keep the IBUs close to 30. Lastly, the original recipe called for 2 lbs of Flaked Corn, which will result in an ABV over 6%. I cut this down to 1 lb to keep the ABV around 5%. One last note is that I made this recipe as a Chez Amber Lager because I couldn’t find a Mexican Lager style in Brewers Friend.
