Single Decoction Mash
Infuse to 151F, hold 30 min, Pull 1/3 decoction. Heat to 160F. Hold 10 min. Heat to boil. Return to main mash to get 158F. Hold 20 min. Recirc and run off. Final temp 171F. Boil 65 min. Add Whirlfloc at 50 min. Whirlpool/cool for 20 minutes. Temp at 51F into fermenters. Siphon off cold break. End up with 2 5.5 gal fermenters. Pitched one with Saflager 34/70, the other with Cellar Science German - 2 packs each.
