Notes

Brewed 19.11.23

Calculated water retention in mas at 1,33L per kg grain. This was too much. I collected ca 29L wort, but there was more in the grain, about 3L.

I think I will use 1L/KG next time and

Boiled for 60 mins, but forgot to use hop bag, which menat I lost 4-5L wort.

Cooled wort to 10C and left cold (8C) over night. Transferred to primary, about 21L.

Aerated woith oxygen for about three minutes and re-pitched from last lager batch slurry that was harvested after 12 days.

Pitched about 5dl slurry 20.11.23.

Fermenting at about 7C, good airlock acivity 21.11.23.

Other: Mash-in at 64,3C, one hour mash. Did a decent amount of vorlauf and reheated the collected wort before adding back to mash. Half an hour? 4L?

Sparged at about 78C. Mash did not exceed 70C.

Used divider in mas tun for reduced mash volume. Seemed to work well.
