Target Final Boil Volume: 5.5 gallons
Evaporation Rate: .5 gallons per hour
Boil Time: 60 minutes
Runoff Volume Needed: 6.23 gallons 5.5 gallons (final boil volume) ÷ 0.96 (cooling) + 0.5 gallons (boil evaporation)
Grain Amount: 16.5 pounds
Grain Absorbtion: 3.3 gallons
Total Water Needed: 9.53 gallons 6.23 gallons (runoff) + 3.3 gallons (grain absorbtion) + 0 gallons (equip. loss)
Mash Water Needed: 5.49 gallons based on 1.33 quarts per pound of grain
Sparge Water Needed: 4.04 gallons 9.53 gallons (total water) – 5.49 gallons (mash water)

Adjustment for reduced sprage= 7.5 G mash 2 G sparge (1 G for each mash)
7.5 was too high so made it 6.5 and 4 G sparge 2G each

****Moorbeer had 9.34 G and giving me nearly 7 end product and water looked high so taking off .25 from each sparge
6.5 Mash and 1.25 G sparge each

did .75 sparge and .50 on 2nd I believe and still had nearly 7 G

Notes

Steinbarts was out of dark munich so did regular munich and added 1/2 lb. Considered adding .5 lb of choc something but don't care about the color

Used 2 T of candied ginger instead of reg as I was out of powder and sugar works
Also threw in 1 t of coriander
and didn't have clover powerder so did 12 cloves
