Notes
First NYC brewing experiment. Trying a trio of the YVH Hop Box items -- Cascade, Amarillo, Citra -- to make a juicy NE IPA.
Starting our theme of naming after Queen songs, this hop mix comes from checking recipes for what goes well together, but no direct recipe, and making sure I don't have any leftovers from my 2 oz cans. I wanted to test biotransformation so we have some high Krausen adds as well.
Starting OG of 1.055, so close to the predicted amount. Still much darker than predicted (I am getting Malliard reactions that I cannot seem to control).
Tasting notes: everyone drank this GONE. Key deficiency: needed more malt backbone. Probably should have had (1) another pound of fermentable; (2) 1/4 lb or more of crystal.
