Notes
My favorite British beers to date are SS's Nut Brown Ale and Fuller's London Pride. I also absolutely adore otters.
This Maris Otter-based ale is based on a recipe I saw for a London Pride clone, which used 9.5lbs of Maris Otter as its base. My local store only had 4lbs available, so I had to make up the rest with Golden Promise. This brings my expected color a teensie bit darker, so I'm calling it a Brown Ale; additionally, my brews usually end up being 5-10SRM darker than projected so that's likely about right.
The result is my homage to both of my British favorites, and my favorite cute-but-lethal furry idols: Royal Otter London Pub Ale
