Notes
Mash with 30 litres for 1 hour.
Water chemistry = standard Brew U wheat added at boil.
Strike temp at 77 c
sparged with (30) litres of water to make a total of (50 boil volume)
At 30 mins during mash Gravity reading was at 1045 (moved grain bed extensively due to low efficiency) - Reading 10 mins afterwards @ 1052
At 60 mins reading at 1060.
ramp temp to 74 c at 60 minute mark. (time = 5 mins)
Pre sparge gravity 1065 @ 25 litres (changed to 1070 after 10 mins?) (5 - 8 litres lost through grain retention)
Sparging.
After sparging (30 litres for a total of 50 litre boil volume) Gravity reading at 1036*(hot temp)
Low gravity ; added 1.05 kgs of dextrose
Placed magnum hope in at 98 c - Boil over created some hop matter on lid and outside of kettle. placed 3-5 g of magnum into boild to compensate.
