Notes
Brewed May '20, started drinking July '20. Very enjoyable, exceeded my expectations! (experimented with a few things, and was using mostly left over ingredients)
Tasting notes: Sweet, nutty and fruity, full flavor up front, but nice dry and hoppy finish with noticeable hoppy bitterness at end. Thanks to flaked wheat (my first time using), it has a medium body and a beautifully dense, pillowy head that lasts until the end of the glass! I was expecting a lighter body considering the low OG, but this is not a light feeling or tasting beer! Very tasty, and after finishing a bottle, I'm always left wanting another! I'll be brewing this again, and won't change a thing (which is saying something, because I'm a tweaker!)
Fermentation: pitched at 64 degrees previously harvested SA-04 (probably overpitched), self-raised to 69 in 24 hrs. Kept here for 1 week in primary, then raised to 70-72 for 3 weeks in secondary. 5 days cold crash. Bottle conditioned 6 weeks.
