Way too efficient again (!). Ended up over 1060 at 20 liters. Mini sparge used, used a kettle of boiling water and approx 1l cold water to big pot, worked out about 52 degrees c. added the grain bag and stirred/dunked for a few minutes. Sparge/rinse water ended up at 1010.
This meant that there was way too much water in brew pot for all DME and hops. Took about 1.5 liters out and boiled it separately and used this to dissolve the cocoa. then added it during the icebath.
Not a problem, topped up to 23l, 1054. Need to give it 2 weeks and then add 50g cocoa in secondary. |

Racked and 30g Cocoa added (made into paste) Tastes like chocolate raisins...!!!
Two more weeks and it'll be ok to be bottled |
