I consider myself still to be a novice. I spend a lot of my lunch hour reading articles and researching how I can improve my processes and looking for great recipes. I've been brewing since mid-2013 and average 1 - 2 (5 gallon, all grain) batches a month. I'm just now starting to tweak the recipes to see if I can tell the difference and if I can 'improve' them more to my personal preference. I'm still looking for that perfect brew. Something very 'nutty' that I just can't put my finger on.
Most of my recipes come from Great Fermentations (http://www.greatfermentations.com/ ) located in Indianapolis. They are a great source for advice, supplies, and recipes. My favorite recipes so far are:
Porter Call Me a Taxi
Nutcase Brown
Phat Tire
