Y fitting for my regulator

agreed, but micromatic is high quality. I am sure you can get it on amazon for cheaper lol.

SS is always better. think about humidity and the way that those QD work is with ball bearings which quickly rub off the chrome plating on the Male QD which then rusts. The brass females are fine for this, its just the steel male end that will rust. a non-chrome plated brass version would be better then the steel.

Im also in a different environment, chemicals and everyday use/wear. all of my gear is SS, plus the cost of brass is basically the same as SS at this point.
Won't disagree there. SS is not much, if any more than brass. At least not enough to worry about.

i guess i could also upgrade to a dual regulator as well

Although a dual/triple-gauge regulator would be best, you could still make do with a multi-port manifold on the single regulator. You could shut off the line going to your serving keg, adjust the pressure, then turn on line going to your beer gun or another keg. It's a bit of a pain, but that way you wouldn't need to rebuy a regulator. And just to be clear, I'm not trying to deny you the pleasure of buying brewing equipment! :)

The only place where brass is WAY WAY cheaper is the female QD. they are very hard to find. Mcmaster carries them but they are $40-50 each. The male side from mcmaster is like 6-8 dollars depending on your needs. which isnt terrible, but i do try to save up my mcmaster orders until i have a bunch of stuff to order at once so the shipping doesnt hurt as much.

Yes, stainless is better. My steel & brass HF version is 5 years old and there’s no rust yet. At homebrew scale it is ok.

Thanks everyone for your input! Now to decide on the multiple options presented.
