Have an image of you laid under the tap here. Take it easyI still need to bottle weevilly wheat 2, but it looks like my keg is almost empty....
So I'm going to drink it empty and put my new beer in it. With sugar for carbonation and I get to use my brand new digital spunding blowtie valve gauge thingy
Wheat should be around 3 vol CO2 if Iam not mistaken?
Sounds about right nice and carbedI still need to bottle weevilly wheat 2, but it looks like my keg is almost empty....

So it's been 27 hours for the Bunyip and still not even a whisper of yeast activity, as determined by any bubbles from the blowoff tube or change in Tilt gravity reading.BRY97 always takes longer for me to start fermenting than other yeasts. SO4 and 34/70 will spoil ya for sure
Unless you pitched into boiling wort, it'll get going. So it's been 27 hours for the Bunyip and still not even a whisper of yeast activity, as determined by any bubbles from the blowoff tube or change in Tilt gravity reading.
I'm going to give it 2 more days and then drop some US05 in there...
As Megary Said she'll fire Don I've never had it take more than 12 hours lol!So it's been 27 hours for the Bunyip and still not even a whisper of yeast activity, as determined by any bubbles from the blowoff tube or change in Tilt gravity reading.

This was my experience with BRY97 when I brewed bunyip. Finally took off and finished in 4 days once it startedSo it's been 27 hours for the Bunyip and still not even a whisper of yeast activity, as determined by any bubbles from the blowoff tube or change in Tilt gravity reading.

27 hours and you're just waiting? Nothing good is happening while you wait. I wouldn't.So it's been 27 hours for the Bunyip and still not even a whisper of yeast activity, as determined by any bubbles from the blowoff tube or change in Tilt gravity reading.

Not sure anything bad is happening either. Shoulda spun up a starter...27 hours and you're just waiting? Nothing good is happening while you wait. I wouldn't.
So maybe the better comment would have been " What do you think is happening?"Not sure anything bad is happening either. Shoulda spun up a starter...
I had the same experience as well. I took a couple days to get going. Just when I was starting wonder if needed to repitch it finally got goingThis was my experience with BRY97 when I brewed bunyip. Finally took off and finished in 4 days once it started
The yeasties are just getting ready to have a wild orgy. But they were mostly still asleep. So maybe the better comment would have been " What do you think is happening?"
I used the lallemand dry, I imaging pitching onto a yeast cake would make a huge difference...The yeasties are just getting ready to have a wild orgy. But they were mostly still asleep.
SG started to drop overnight. Still slow, but moving nonetheless.
I also had the slow start, and only pitched one packet into 20LSo was watching Gashslugs latest brew video on Chat bot brew and he used BRY97 in that brew 1g/lt is the dose rate
Or .5 - 1g / Lt so that's 2 packs for a Standard 20lt batch so probably a bit of underpitching as per the slow start @Donoroto and @Josh Hughes might explain why without a starter the bunyip took some time to get going.
