What are you doing with homebrew today?

I usually use imperial Pub/wyeast 1968 esb but decided to mix it up.

I just bottled my stout, hitting the expected Final Gravity of 1.015, with an abv of 4.6%, my lowest ever. Sample smells and tastes pretty good. Looking forward to pouring a bottle in a week or so.

I have been watching my Taco Tuesday Blonde finish up.....hopefully keg it this weekend.

I'm getting reading to brew a lockdown beer tomorrow. I have decided to use carrots as a flavoring. I am not sure how much or how little to use. Has anyone brewed with carrots before? My plan is to use some carrots juice (fresh) in the boil at about 10 minutes and then to add roasted carrots and carrot juice to the secondary. If anyone has any experience using carrots I would greatly appreciate your input. I might also add just a little ginger as well. My grain bill will be about 15% Rye malt for a little spicy feel.

Nope buy I'm sure they will contribute a bit of gravity to your beer .

Got the Mini Stout blended with the crappy Wit. Came out really good. 1.5 gallons into a 13G conical and got 1.25 out. Dumped some wit out and now have just over 4g of Nice pleasant stout. The Blond on the other hand was delishious right off

It is malty, the sample that is but the wort is not Red. The grain bill was 83% Red X and 17% pilsner malt

Wait until it clears. Great malt not used a high amount to get the red but it you should get some of hat red coming through. Let me us know! I’m thinking of a 50/50 Pilsner and red x at some point. I added it to a few different lagers and those were tasty.

Kegged my latest bitter. Saved a pint of yeast. This will sit at room temp since I have a point or 2 left for some free co2 :)
