thermowell, wet or dry?

No glycol, just chilled water. I have my keezer next to it and have a reservoir made of 4" PVC drain pipe. Since the keezer is set to 36 degrees, it does just fine keeping the fermenter at temperature, even in these Southern regions.
Does that work for cold crash and lagering? I have a hard time getting my beer cold enough if the chiller isnt set 10° lower than sp

I have not tried to lager or cold crash in the fermenter. I transfer t look the keg first.
