How come "late addition: fermenter" ingredients don't actually change the "OG"? Seems like they oughta, especially with the "hover-text" saying that "Gravity points were added to OG"... Here's the recipe I'm playing with: https://www.brewersfriend.com/homebrew/recipe/view/1519029/chocolate-imperial

If an ingredient is added to the fermenter that doesn't need mashing, it oughta change the OG, no?

But regardless, what I really want, is to be able to specify a recipe ingredient is added as a late addition for BOTTLING, and for it to update the OG appropriately. The "other ingredients" panel does let a person specify "at bottling", but doesn't change OG or anything else. Ooh, another awesome would be for the late-addition-bottling would be to choose a "booze" ingredient (user specifies volume and abv of said booze), for embourbonating at bottling time

Hopefully that makes sense, I've been drinking :)

By definition OG, is the original gravity when you started. You can't change where you started by adding more.

It should change SG though

What you add in the bottling bucket won't really affect gravity. For the recipe, I would ignore it. To calculate Co2 volume, that it is where it needs to be added.
