Just because you can ferment it doesn’t mean you should

My buddy and I were thinking of brewing a dandelion beer. Hmmmmm might have to think about that one twice.
Do your research is all.
Please don't take my bad batch as a reason not to.
I most likely used WAY too much Dandelion Root and didn't prep it right for brewing.
These days I would go about things a bit different and brew with it exclusively boil only to reduce any contamination risk it's bittering after all.
I'd also peal the roots free of their skins.
I think the key with most these things is knowing how much to use and when in the brewing process.

And start small. I brewed my first try on my juniper IPA with only .7 oz. Couldn't taste it, went to 2oz. Its there, tasted really good. Next time gonna try 4 oz and see what that does.
