I visited a brewery today!

I think it was "Maple Marzen" I tried at the Castle Danger Brewery the other day. I asked about an amber and that was their answer
I was worried about the maple flavor (not that crazy about maple if it dosen't involve pancakes) but it was quite good without a big maple push.

Brunch bloody mary before we went to the brewery next door (no pictures sorry haha).

I was in Asheville a few weeks ago and visited New Belgium Brewing, White Labs, Burial, One World and High Wire. Great times, such a shame with the flooding from the Hurricane.

What did you think of white labs? I tried a flight of four, of two different beers brewed with different yeasts. I had hard time telling the difference.

I LOVED doing that. They had TOGO 4 packs like that when I was there. I could taste the difference, but from memory, what I had was in the Pale Ale range.

I had some spare time heading home the other night and finally got to a little brewery in Maryland that I read about last year as having the great fortune to have been involved in discovering a hop that seems to be unique to Maryland! Digging the whole BrewLocal vibe is right up my alley and that's what had in the tap room and I took home a couple of crowlers and popped this one last night.

so if you're around New Market MD and looking for some really good local flavor..drop by Milkhouse a few miles of winding road off of 75.

A style that I am fond of when done well, and the native hop is very cool.

Blind Cat Brewing - Pittston PA

Had a great time at a little brewery in NE PA. Enjoyed talking with the head brewer who quickly realized that I must be a homebrewer. We had a nice conversation about grains and hops and how he tries to source as many ingredients from PA as he can. The grain isn’t very difficult, the hops on the other hand…

I had the Smoked Porter and the Keller on Nitro. Both were very, very good.

Some of the kit. Double Eagle malts from the Philly area.

That is a great board:) I would have probably have needed a flight.
I went to one yesterday and brought home a really mellow Hefe for the Zoom meeting last night. Heading out in a minute to my Sunday brewery for my dark Pre Pro, some BBQ sliders, and maybe to play with a couple of K-9 critters:) ..Dear Lord, too much Classic Dr Who lately.
