its actually pretty good. i was worried yesturday that it would be boozy, but overnight it dropped further and really mellowed the boozy/belgian flavor.
in a super unusual turn of events, i will likely have a few weeks to lager this puppy. got 3 and 4 kegs on the two lines where it would fit.
now im torn between brewing again tomorrow/friday or holding off until next week. My cooler is sitting pretty full and who knows what will sell over the weekend.
tap list looks like:
1: Juicy IPA -6.8% 51ibu
2: Stout - 4.8% crushable
3: Apricot Sour: 5.5% nicely balanced fruity/sour
4: Juicy PA: 5.1% 44ibu but almost no bitterness(was supposed to be a session IPA but it didnt get dryhopped...damn it jeff.
5: Golden Lager: 5% year around golden lager that i am currently trying out a different recipe for
6: Mexican lager: 5.4% pretty good, could have used some lagering time. might try it again with the spunding valve
7: Belgian Tripel: 9.2% good beer, getting better the longer that it is on draft. slow mover by design(breathing room)
8: Amber Lager: 5.5% probably one of my favorite beers that i have made to date. 3rd batch and many more to come.
Red ale/lager would slip in on line 8
Big lager would slide into line 6
Black lager would go behind the stout>stout isnt flying off the shelves, plenty of time left on that line.
having 2 tanks open for next week gives me flexibility if something moves way faster this weekend. so realisitically im gonna hold off until next week. maybe a new red lager recipe????....maybe a Red IPL????
