Dry Hop sanitation issues

Another way to think about it, we are pitching ~0.75 million cells / ml / degree plato.

That is A LOT of yeast cells! Getting rid of them all takes serious filtration effort.

Back on topic....
I will often dry hop in my keg. They stay in there until I finish the keg.
I never have a sanitation issue or a vegetal flavor.
If I need to move the keg or if its not gonna be finished for months, I may do a keg to keg transfer.
Last fall I went mini best of show with Bitch Slap. http://www.brewersfriend.com/homebrew/r ... bitch-slap
There were about 40 IPA's in the category and I think It scored a 38.
It had a huge handful of leaf Chinook in the bottom for well over a month when I bottled it for the competition.

Just sayin.
