Consistent low final gravity, need a little advise please

Thanks for all the help. I just took a hydrometer reading of the beer from the keg and it read 1.012. The tilts are not as accurate as they say they are.
Amen:D.

Ask a pro brewer what he measures his/her FG with.
Most likely a dam expensive Hydrometer or one of those Snazzy Anton Parr refractometer....

I just checked another beer that I did the same weekend. It had a OG of 1.059 and a final of 1.016. The tilt said 1.007 but the hydrometer had a reading of 1.014 from the keg. Looks like the tilts are right on the money for OG but way off on the final. Still not sure why my fermentation is within 10 days but I'll take it. Thanks again

I have never double checked them until now. I've been using them for about 3 years now.:(

Classic precision vs. accuracy situation. A couple consistent FG readings, but might not be accurate. Seems odd that it would drop 6 points in one day (12/14-12/15), after the previous several days showed 1-3 point daily drops. I'm thinking those last 2 are outliers, perhaps due to something affecting the buoyancy.
that does happen, co2 bubbles will stick to it and effect it. ussualy once fermentation stops, the bubbles come off and it will make a faster change.

have you tested it in water? you can calibrate it to get it closer.

Terminal gravity in 10 days is very common, especially with a 1.060 OG. That and a healthy pitch can be done in a week.
Sounds like you got you problem mostly worked out other than your perception of them.

Your Tilt gets hop & yeast schmutz stuck to it during fermentation. This can change the FG reading considerably. I'm not at all surprised at the conclusion. If you can figure out that it always reads FG low by 6 points or whatever, then enter that as a calibration point in the app and you'll not have these problems anymore.
