Ugh, 12,000 is the biggest burner on my stove, it will have to do for this batch. Your wort boiler puts out nearly as much BTU as my furnace. Maybe the 40 quart pot that I have coming, will span across two burners, then I could get 20K of heat on it. I'll have to wrap with aluminum foil, cover it & let it take the time that it takes, a couple of hours or whatever. It will work. Thanks for the advice, now I know what to shoot for when I can afford it! Already have a spare, full 100lb'er for it. I could use a big burner to boil down maple sap as well.
I've been reading about beano, thinking I'll add some of that as well. I was running options through the brew calculator and everything was coming out over 150 calories a bottle, that's too rich, couldn't figure how to escape that fate, it seems the beano could help a lot. Lower carbs too.
