I've abandoned all effort at attempting to apply the Golden Ratio to the timing of hop additions. I now only see the potential for benefit in applying the ratio to the determination of the IBU's to be targeted for each addition.
@Silver_Is_Money What about a semi continuous hop addition with the last addition being 1 min then 1.618 min, 2.618 min, 4.235 min, ... up...? Or dividing 60min by 1.618 to get addition times...
I'm much too lazy for that.

Would there be a market for such a device? $45 and programmable? Sits over the boil kettle and drops pre-measured hops at programmable intervals.
