    High Temperature Dry Hopping Question

Hey everyone, I’m using a Kveik strain of yeast which is currently fermenting at around 90 degrees and wondering if that would be too warm to dry hop. Will I get off aromas? Thanks!

IBU calculation rounding issues when using grams

There seems to be an issue when adding hops to a recipe in the recipe builder and using grams as the unit. It looks like there's some rounding issue as incrementing the number of grams only seems to update the IBU for that addition (and the whole recipe) after a few grams rather than linearly...

Brew Session NOT finding Hops to deduct from Inventory

I did have an item here but I discovered where I went wrong... My recipe had Hops down as Pellets.... My Inventory has the Hops as Leaf.. hence the Brew Session was , quite rightly , unable to deduct it.

    acquiring small amounts of ingredients

I'm putting together a kit to do small batch (1.5-2 gallons) all grain BIAB. I've started to look at grain bills for recipes I would like to try, but the recipes include amounts that are only small fractions of the smallest amounts I can purchase online. I'm trying to find a local homebrew...

    Hop utilization weirdness

Hi there! Just today I noticed some new odd behavior in the hop bill section of the recipe builder. Starting temp times for all additions are now defaulting to 212C, and my dry hop additions are suddenly showing a utilization of 0.070, where before they were 0. Even if I manually enter in 0% in...

    Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Stout

I'm looking for suggestions on a stout recipe I came up with. I know, I know... summer is coming. Why am I brewing a stout? I have had this itch to brew a really creamy, silky stout for a while now. I brewed one last year and it came out a little too thin for my liking. I figured I'd give it a...

    Hop Absorption Rate

Hi, I am new to Brewer's Friend (3rd brew coming this week) and have been brewing for about a year. I mostly do BIAB and my question is in regards to hop absorption rate in the equipment profile settings. I don't typically bag my hops during the boil and I siphon almost everything from my kettle...

    Saaz IPA anyone?

I just finished brewing my first Saison (day 3 in primary). When I added the Saaz hops I really loved the aroma. Has anyone brewed an IPA or pale using Saaz? What other hops did you use and what for? (bittering, dry hop, etc) I'd be very interested to understand how an IPA with lower AA hops...

Regular big orders of American HOPS to Europe

Hi, what's up. We run a small brewery in central-eastern Europe. We've been searching for some new varieties of american hops. We would like to import them directly from the USA, especially that some other breweries would like to join us. Eventually something like 5-10 tons of hops once a 2...

    Boiling hops on water

Just thinking... what happens if I boil water at 195 Fahrenheit, put hops on it for the time required on my recipes and then I store it for brew day, so i would add this water to the wort? What I would think will happen is that it would be the same than boiling everything on the same day, with...
