Yakima Valley Hops - Summit
Description: "Was the first hop released by the ADHA back in 2003. It is a high Alpha Acid (16-19%) variety derived from Lexus, Zeus, Nugget, and some open pollination. Summit is primarily used for bittering, but can contribute a very pungent aroma that is characterised by herbs and spices like black pepper and anise. Incredibly fresh Summit often smells of onions and garlic(due to the high AA), but will dissipate after oxidizing for a day or so. Aroma/Flavor: Orange, tangerine, citrus notes – similar to Simcoe hops"
