Make a starter and save some for later use. Yeast starter was not good at flocculation. Used 1L into wort.

Mash temp 152 F
1.040 Pre Boil Gravity
pH=5.6 (ok for dark beer)
1/2 gallon grain loss absorption
2 gallon boil off (75 min boil)
OG= 1.055
10 days then cold crashed and added gelatin.
2 days cold crashed then burst carbed for 1 day
First taste was smooth with coffee and chocolate notes
