Notes
1) Strike Water 167 F
- 160 F according to Brewer's Friend calculator accounting for grain only.
- 167 F from my excel tool accounting for mash tun.
- Added 4 gallons and mixed to reach temp, was close so added remaining 0.5 gallons, hit 149.5 F
2) 3 oz Whirlpool hops are added when cooling wort reaches 190.
Below 170, little to no bitterness is added, equivalent to dry hopping.
3) Attempt whirlpool to collect hops into central "pile" in boil kettle.
4) 1 packet US-05 in primary
5) Dry hop for 7 days in secondary (including cold crash?)
6) Cold crash with fermentation cooling coil in brew bucket, 48 hours.
7) 1 packet US-05 into bottling bucket with priming sugar necessary due cold crash
