Notes

This is the base recipe from Founders for the now retired "Curmudgeon" old ale. Lots of ways to tweak it, including soaking the wood chips in rum, bourbon or whiskey. Then you can get fancy...with splitting the crystal into multiple crystal malts, or subbing maris otter for the 2-row.

Primary 9 days, then secondary with Oak.

Looked at alternative yeast - they suggested White Labs WLP060
