Notes
After fermentation, preheat oven to 150° F (66° C) and toast coconut until golden brown (about 40 minutes). Turn the coconut every 10 minutes to ensure even toasting. Rack the beer into an airtight vessel (secondary or Cornelius keg) and add the coconut loose when cool. Give the vessel a good shake every day. Bottle after 12 to 14 days.
I put cooled 12oz of coconut in a muslin bag and hung from the keg lid and let it hang inside near the bottom. Went with organic 14oz on the 2nd batch. I feel like the 12 oz of unsweetened from Farm and Fleet was better.
Great beer as the keg blew empty on 12/26/19. One of the fastest emptied kegs I have ever brewed with many compliments also. It was also entered into my HBC open table comp and placed 2nd.
