Target Water Profile
Reverse Osmosis
Notes
Mashed in with 19L@70c strike for a 68c Mash
Difficult recirc during mash, grain bill on the cusp of too large for the vessel (even with rice hulls)
1.082 post mash, pre sparge
Sparged with 12L@75c
Slow Sparge noted also (expected due to above issue)
1.065 Pre Boil. Decided to only do a 30 min total boil due to not wanting too high of gravity. Also noted LOTS of grain in the boil. Have concerns of astringency now due to this.
1.073 post boil (SG) over target = 64% Efficiency
Had a PH of 5.25 during mash
PH of 5.4 after boil into cube for no chill.
