Notes

Mashed in at 67 degrees - due to mashing in stainless steel kettle wrapped in blankets this dropped around 3 degrees over the hour. Did not mash out so further saccharification will have happened during run off and sparge.

Pre boil gravity 1.040 approx

OG 1.044-1.046 approx - slightly short on volume (21l). Will end up stronger than anticipated - towards 6% potentially

Decided to reduce bittering hops as using hard water from the tap - softer water is supposed to reduce harshness
