Yeast starter thurs night 4oz golden light dme in 1.25 L. Brewed Sunday afternoon. Mashed stout malt, flaked barley and biscuit for 20 mins at 140F, then added hot water to raise to 150F for another 20 mins. Finally added roasted barley and midnight wheat for last 20 mins. Boiled for 15 mins to evaporate additional water, then started with 60 min boil and hops per recipe. Chilled wort Down to 75F and pitched mostly decanted starter, then placed in cold part of basement. Fermentation started within 12 hours at a temp of 58F.
