Brewed on 9/29/2018
Steep grains for 60 minutes, starting temp 162 F. Bring H2O to boil and add 1.25 lbs DME pilsen. Return to boil. Add 0.85 oz Cascade and 0.15 oz Summitt. Boil 30 minutes. Add wort from grains, return to biol, add 0.21 oz Summitt. Boil 15 minutes. Add 0.5 lbs DME extra light, add 8 oz cane sugar, add Irish Moss. Boil 15 minutes. Chill in ice water bath and pitch re-hydrated yeast.
SG = 1073.
Add 0.84 oz Cascade pellets on 10/1/18.
Tasting note: Good head retention, nice black color. Lacking in hop aroma, but has a bitter hop bite.
