Notes

Notes from v1.0

  • Under-attenuated and too sweet
  • OG too low (1.050)
  • Far too dark
  • Not at all bright, yeast did not flocculate well

    Modifications for v2.0
  • Use extra light DME and more of it
  • Convert to three-hop recipe (drop columbus and focus on Centennial, Citra, Simcoe)
  • Increase simcoe in dry hop to 100g (400g hops total)
  • Buy two packs of yeast and make 2 x 1L starters

    Version 2.1 notes
    Tripled the 60min boil Simcoe to 75g to boost IBU.
    Removed steeping grains
    Modded dry hop bill to emphasise simcoe
    Total hop bill:
  • Simcoe 300g
  • Citra 200g
  • Centennial 100 g
    Add half the DME at start of boil, remaining half 10 mins before flameout.
