Notes
Previously called the "Friends of Jenn" series, this is a quest to dial in my perfect IPA. The base has remained the same. The variables that have been changed are: water chemistry, hop times/quantities/breed, and yeast.
For this version I adjusted the hops to a small bittering addition at 60 minutes then a massive 5 day dry hop. I also decided to go with a mix of my favorite mosaic and citra along with el dorado to bring in some pear or stone fruit to the sharp citrus of citra and the cornucopia of flavors that come from mosaic. Previous editions have been good, but lack the aroma I've been looking for. For water, I switched to purchasing water from Publix using the machine and my own vessels and have been treating it as though it is RO. The sulfate to chloride ratio remains a 3:1.
