Ok, so I messed up the mashing temp hence the missed ABV target (I should have followed this but didn't! The above is mostly correct but think 90 min @ 67C would work better due to low DP).
On the up side this makes a great session porter, very easy drinking but with a full and distinctive taste down to the high brown malt and Chevalier (Tintagel Brewery Gwaf Tan/Excaliber gives you an idea).
Beautiful colour (think Old Peculiar) and clear as a bell.
