Notes
Delicious Blonde Ale. Started with 6 lbs of fresh Florida strawberries, frozen, then pureed. Ended with 5.5 lbs strawberries. Racked beer to secondary at 7 days, and added strawberries in several fine mesh hop bags. I was anticipating a reinvigorated fermentation, but what I got was much more than expected. Despite using a bucket with lots of head space, the airlock clogged, and at some point so much pressure developed that it blew the lid off the bucket and sprayed strawberry bits all over my closet. Something to consider for next time- use a blow off tube!
Great tasting. Friends loved it, definitely a beer to make again.
