Notes

OG: 1.061

Something is going on with my pump. It wouldn't pump water into my cooler. Connecting it to the pot, it whirlpools just fine. WAT!

After lots of spillage, I put about 5.5 gallons of water in the pot. Fair bit of heat lost in the transfer but it worked out as grain strike temp was 168 and stirring for 3 minutes brought me down to a consistent 155 - right where I want to be for this kind of beer. Temp stayed consistent; at 60 minutes, it was at 154. Infusion of about 1.5. Collected 5.1gal from first runnings. added 3.5 more gallons and collected 3.4gal from second for an 8.5gal boil.

Filtered 5.75 gallons of beer in carboy at 83degrees. Pitched yeast and cooled down to 77degrees in the bag. Blow off tube had activity after just 2 hours.
